The Jury consists of a group of evicted houseguests that remain in sequester until the Final Two have been determined. The Jury stays privy to house happenings while they consider who they think deserves to win, but secret meetings, Diary Room sessions, and other happenings that do not include the entire group of remaining houseguests are not disclosed. The information they take in from the game they witness and the Jurors who join them in sequester is supposed to help them decide who to vote for to win Big Brother. The Jury is typically comprised of seven to nine members, but this can vary.
Jury Process[]
The Jury usually begins near Final 11, seven to nine evictions from the Final Jury Questioning. This depends on when the Jury has been set up to begin, how many players total are in the season, and whether or not there is a post-eviction twist. All Jurors will arrive upon eviction to the Jury House, where they may chat with the other members of the Jury about the game in progress. At the Final Jury Questioning, the finalists will plead the case the Jury, and the jurors will in return ask questions and grill the finalists.
On Finale Night, each juror casts a vote for whom they would like to see be the winner of Big Brother. Each vote is one of the names of the Final Two written on a key, which the juror places in the nomination box. In the same format as a Nomination Ceremony, the keys are removed one at a time, revealing the winner of the season.
Depending on the number of active jurors and the number of finalists, a "back-up" juror is brought in. This special juror, who is always the last person eliminated pre-jury, will vote in case of a tie. However, as they aren't a fully fledged member, they cannot ask questions. They will only be able to view the discussion and make their decision. Their vote will count only in case of a tie.
There can also instances when the number of jurors has reduced due to a quit, an expulsion, or failure to vote for the winner.
